I love the brows! It took me a long time shaping and shading before I could perfect the brows for this look! =D

Emotera? Hahaha!!!

This is my favorite photo among the bunch. ^__^

This was how I described the look:

For this look, I chose to work with the color pink. A lot of people regard pink to be a shade that's difficult to wear on the eyes. But the right shade of pink and proper blending will do wonders on your eye makeup. =)
I used a shimmery peach base then for the main color, I used a medium pink shade. I highlighted the inner corners with a light gold shade to warm up the colors. =) For the lips, I used a nude lip balm then on the center of the lips, I made a gradient with a wine colored lip stain and topped it with a pearly pink lip gloss.

I can't exactly remember the products that I used for this look. I made a mess around my workstation that time so I had to clean it up right after or else I'd be working around cosmetics! Haha!

What do you think of this look? Would you sport pink eye shadow? ^__^

More FOTDs and reviews coming up! Please be patient! ^__^

Thanks, Korea Cosmetics for the lovely loot! I still don't have the heart to swatch them pretty cosmetics... Haha! =D

Krave Minerale Cosmeceuticals' 1st Anniversary and Product Launch

January 12, 2013. It was a fantastic night. A night to remember... Let me share with you the details... ^__^

Before the launch, hubby and I had to attend our college department's alumni meeting. I kept checking the clock because I want to fly from Manila to Makati soon after the meeting. I wouldn't want to get late on this event. =D

FOTD 011213: K-Pop Superstar!

I thought of wearing a K-Pop-ish makeup look since I was supposed to wear something simple. I planned of wearing my three-year-old dark blue Venus-cut dress from Tomato. Every time there's a special event like this, I always end up pulling that dress in my closet. Then, I'd say "Gosh! I need to invest in more clothes!!!" =D

Our meeting finished at 6:30 pm. I was starting to panic because (1.) I haven't changed my clothes yet; (2) We are unfamiliar with the place - we don't usually go to Makati. and more importantly, (3) I didn't want to get late!

Unfortunately for us, the cab driver was also unfamiliar with Makati. So, we had to rely on the Google Map that I screen capped that morning. Good thing, one of my hubby's friends (who he invited to join him while waiting for me) knew a bit of the place. =D

We learned then that the venue, Palladium Club, New World Hotel was located just beside GREENBELT 3! >__<

Soon as I got off the cab, I saw a group of pretty ladies at the door, and it happened to be Ms. Shen, Ariann and Hazel. Before heading the entrance, I asked the hubby and our friends if my attire fits the "Dress to Impress" dress code and they said, "Hello! You look just fine!" =D

I mustered enough courage to say "Hi!" to Ms. Shen, one of the bloggers that I admire a lot. I didn't want to miss this chance, just like I did during the Etude House event. Surprisingly, she recognized me and exclaimed, "You're so pretty!", which made me blush! Hahaha! Now, that left me shaking on my way down to the club! Teehee!!! =D

Now let's see what happened next...

I was actually looking for Ms. Dee, of Skye Avenue (remember my post here?). We had a conversation the previous night that we'll meet at the event. Then all of a sudden, Dawn, came up to me to say "Hi!". ^__^

I told myself. Wow. This is going to be a really fun night... ^__^

I was surrounded by nice, beautiful people... I didn't feel out-of-place at all. ^__^

From left: Ariann, Sam, Dawn, Hazel and Ms. Shen

Me and the pretty bloggers

It was surprising how Ms. Shen, a top blogger, is so fun to be with. She made me feel very comfortable and it was as if we were close friends as we chitchat over plenty of interesting things. ^__^

Before the show started, Ms. Katrina Chua, the young and gorgeous owner of Krave went to our table to welcome us.

Photo grabbed from Krave's FB Page

At around 9pm, the show started...

A song to entertain us...

Krave was only a year old but it has come a long way already. It has been featured in TV shows as well in print media. No wonder, because their products really deliver. I could attest to that! ^__^

At a young age of 24, Ms. Katrina has already been showered with bountiful of blessings - a growing international beauty brand, a budding career and a beautiful family. She is an epitome of a modern woman: young, smart and successful. I admire her. She's all beauty and brains. ^__^

A dark and blurry FOTN? Hihi...

Gorgeous models with their before photos.

A little later, they have given awards to some people. I was surprised because I was one of the top three bloggers for Krave! Imagine... my first event + my first blogger award = super, super, super happy!!! ^__^

I just got shy to come in front to be recognized... =D

Award-winning

Time for the launch of new products! ^__^

Before the program started, Ms. Kat gave us a little idea on what's gonna be new with Krave cosmetics. She said that Krave will be BOLDER this year! ^__^

Krave's Mineral Makeup and Organic Skin Care

Wow! The packaging has changed! So sleek and sophisticated!

They already have HD makeup. A must try for those who love both makeup and photography, like me! =D

New and repackaged Skin Care Line

I love the new "sosyal" packaging of both makeup and skin care!

The bubbly host (Sorry, I didn't get his name...), good-looking Mr. Manuel Chua and the stunning Ms. Kat

The host introduced Mr. Manuel Chua, one of the former participants of the Pinoy X-Factor aired in ABS-CBN. I also learned that he's a talent in the said station. =)

Ms. Kat and her glorious babies

Me and Ms. Shen - pardon the white, ghost face of moi... BB Cream issues! =D

I will have this photo framed! Haha! Thank you, Ms. Shen!!! (Sorry, I can't remove the "Ms." title... It's one of my ways of showing respect and admiration...) ^__^

More bloggers!
Left to Right: Ms. Shen, Say, Mark (Say's boyfriend), Ms. Char's hubby, Ms. Char, Hazel and I

I also gathered a lot of courage in saying "Hi" to other bloggers that were present in the party. Yeah, that's how shy I am! =D

Finally got to meet the lovely Ms. Char, whom I had a conversation in Twitter a day prior to the event.

Say and I

Photobooth moment with gorgeous beauty bloggers

I went home happily at 10pm. I had to go home early because hubby and I had to attend the church service in the morning.

Krave GC worth P1000

Bloggers were gifted with gift certificates worth P1000. It's good, because we are given the chance to choose the products that we want to try (actually, it's difficult to choose! Their products are promising!!! =D).

On the other hand, I wish they handed us press kits. It would be easier for us to learn and share more about the accomplishments of Krave. ^__^

When we arrived home, guess who missed us?

Cam-whore with Izza

I'm so honored to be invited in this fun event. It was my first time to be invited with the title "blogger" and I can say my first time was AWESOME! Thank you, Ms. Kat for inviting me! It was indeed a night to remember!

I hope you enjoyed reading my Krave experience! ^__^

Looking Back on my New Years Projects (Resolutions) for 2012

Hi there! Glad to be back! I will still be busy in the coming days but I will do my best to update my blog. This teacher application is eating up a lot of my time but I know it will be so worth it in the end.

I'm just going to check if I was able to fulfill my so-called "Projects" from last year... Come with me and let's look back if I have improved... =D

1. Be a better person. Be a better wife in particular. A better teacher. Never fail to improve all aspects of life as much as possible.

I can't tell if I became a better person, but I tried. =D
As a wife, I did my best to fulfill my duties. You know, the usual... cleaning and perking up our tiny space, preparing hubby's clothes, ironing his clothes, waking up in the morning to help him prepare for work. Washing the clothes and cooking is out of the picture. Those are the helper's tasks. Hihihi... I tried to cook once in a while, that is, when I have the time. =D

What do you think, hubby? What is your evaluation? Hehehe...

2. Be more productive. Quit playing Facebook games. They don't do anything good. Blogging is better than playing games. I'll try to blog more often this year… ^__^

I was successful in quitting Facebook games! Yay! I'm proud to say that for 2012, I had a total of 133 posts, as compared to when I started, 2010, I only had 78 posts, while last 2011, I had only 51 posts. =D
I am hoping that I'd get to blog more and more this year. ^__^

3. Start writing product reviews. Trying out products and writing about them would help other people learn about my own experiences about a certain product. Nowadays, reviews contribute a lot in a consumer's decision whether to get a product or not.

Check! I may have not written a lot of reviews but I can proudly say that I worked hard on each review I made. I am OC. I always want to see to it that I got everything covered and documented - at least! =D
That OC-ness won me an award from Krave Minerale Cosmeceuticals. It was my very first award as a blogger. Will write about it soon. ^__^
Curious about what that review is? Click here. ^__^

4. Learn new things. Learn to cook, sew, play the piano, make new crafts and more. Never miss a chance to learn something new. More importantly, learn new ways on how to be a better wife and teacher.  =)

Hmmm... Let me recall what I learned... Well... I learned a few things about making collages and fancy invitations using Photoshop. I also tried to use some animated gif files on some of my blog posts. I'm glad I was able to learn a lot of things last year. If I name all of them, this blog post would become so lengthy! Hahaha! =D

5. Revamp closet. Time to ditch the old stuff in my closet! =D

I was able to ditch SOME of the unused clothes that has been laying in my cabinet for a long time. I was able to buy a few pieces to replace the old ones. ^__^
Now that I am preparing for the "world" (of teaching in a classroom setup), I need to invest in more clothes, shoes, bags and accessories! (Thinking about it excites me a lot!!! Hahaha! Jagi, prepare!!! Bwahahaha!) =D

6. Try to be more healthy. Health is important, especially if I really want to be a mom soon. =)

Uhmmm... Big X! Hahaha! I wanted to workout but I was too busy. =D
Maybe this year... Anyway, I have started a kind of an exercise. Baby steps... Baby steps... =D

7. Be more vain. There is a notion that women tend to lose themselves because of tiring housework. Add up the stressing career of teaching. I want to break that kind of mentality. I don't want other people to think that I have neglected myself ever since I got married; which explains the reason why I want to always look good when I go out - even when I'm only going to Divisoria (a local market in Manila).

Big check! It was a success! I did my best to see to it that I swipe a lippie or powder up when going out.
This year, my goal would be a blemish free skin, so I won't need to wear "too much" makeup. ^__^

8. Make use of skills. If there's a chance, I'll use my makeup skills to earn. Why not, right? =D

So-so. I was able to practice my skills for FREE. But I'm glad because my "victims" were contented with the outcome. Nevertheless, I felt satisfied to see them with their happy, pretty faces. ^__^

9. Buy and Read more books. I'm a teacher. I need to invest in more books. Not just books of my specialization, but books of other categories as well. =)

Buy books: YES. Read: A LITTLE
I spent time reading articles (and blogs) online. And downloaded the infamous Fifty Shades Trilogy (Yes, yes, I read them.) out of curiosity. I wouldn't have read it if not my Aunt recommended me to do so. She only wanted me to have an idea of what the book was about. I cringed when she gave me a hint that it is "not what any normal couples do". So, like what a English Major who has a background in Literature (naks!), would do, I read it and critiqued it in my mind. I wanted to write about it but I changed my mind. Oh well, maybe I could still make a review on it next time. =D

10. Drink more water. Gotta stay rehydrated for that clear skin as well as clean internal system… ^__~

Triple check! ^__^
In fact, I got so giddy when we got a pitcher set during our traditional exchange gift last New Year's Eve! =D

11. Give blog a make-over. Yep! New Year, New look!  I'll try to give my hand a try in making my own blog designs. Photoshop noob here! Hahaha! *^__^*

Blog makeover? Well, I made a few changes. I changed the background and header. Same with my Tumblr blog. I hope this year, I get to learn more about HTML (Calling, calling Brother-in-law... Teach me or lend me a book, please! =D) More time, also!!! ^__^
Things I need to learn more for the sake of my blog: HTML, Photoshop layout and new blogging techniques... ^__^

There... I still have not thought well of my 2013 Projects. I'll reflect and jot them down later.

Did you look back to your 2012 New Years Resolutions? How many have you accomplished? ^__^

The coming days and probably months would be extremely busy for me. Stay with me, please? =)

Beauty Tag from Erika

I was tagged by Erika of Erikajjang!~ recently. Erika is one of the cutest bloggers that I've met in the blogosphere. I was happy to meet her personally during the Etude House Playhouse Pink Fair event last year (Click on the link to read more about that pink event! ^__^). ^__^

Going back to the tag... Here's mine!

[Blusher or Bronzer]
I've been a blusher-lovin' girl since I started using makeup. I've only started learning the art of contouring last year, after I realized that my round face needed a little dimension, no matter how young-looking I want to be.  =D

In my stash:

e.l.f Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder & Fashion21 Duo Blush-On

[Lip Gloss or Lip Stick]
Lipstick! I like using lipsticks because they are more pigmented as compared to lipglosses, which give only shine. However, on special days, I add dimension to my lips using a lipstick and lipgloss combo. Works great! ^__^

In my stash:
Fanny Serrano True Light Liquid Lipstick in Light Petal, BeautyUK Lip Lust in Barbie Girl & Maybelline Volume Seduction XL Lip Plumper in Proud Pink

[Lip Balm or Lip Butter]
Lipbalm. I've never tried lip butters before. One of my loved lipbalms for 2012 is the Maybelline Baby Lips in Smoothing Cherry. I loved it so much that I made four posts on it last year, recording the progress of my lips using it:
  1. Initial Thoughts
  2. Full Review after Seven-Day Test
  3. After 50 Days of Use
  4. After 87 Days of Use

As of now, I've run out of it already but I am getting two of them soon. I'd like to get the same variant I bought months ago, the Smoothing Cherry kind and the Anti-Oxidizing Berry variant. ^__^

In my stash:

CoverGirl Natureluxe Gloss Balm in Hibiscus & Miners Tin o' Tint in Vanilla

[Matte or Sparkle Eye shadows]
I love both! But since hubby got me the Le Faerie Cosmetics Super Palette, I try to make use of the matte shadows. I practice using subtle colors on my peepers, so that when I start working in the school, I won't have to come to school in shining, shimmery, splendid eyes! Hahaha! I still love shimmery shadows, though. They brighten up my eyes and give me that glowing appearance. *makes pa-cute*

Pink One-Point Makeup look
This was my contest entry in Korea Cosmetics' contest. I used a pink shimmery shade that gave me a youthful appearance. I haven't blogged about it yet. =D

In my stash:

Le Faerie Cosmetics Super Palette (180 colors)

[Foundation or Concealer]
I prefer using BB Cream. My holy grail BB Cream would have to be the Skinfood Aloe Sun BB Cream. Excellent coverage. I would save up for another tube of it. Now, I combine BB Cream and Concealer because I have lots of acne marks to hide. Gyah! Hormonal acne, you're a bummer! -__-

I only use foundations on special occasions. =)

In my stash:

Nichido Foundation Stick in Beige, Fanny Serrano Concealer Stick in Cashew, Revlon Age Defying Spa Foundation in 003 Light, Purederm Magic BB Cream & Hanskin Mineral Magic BB Cream

[Gel, Liquid, Cream or Pencil Liner]
I like liquid and cream liners. I like using liquid liners because they look so precise and vivid. Cream eyeliners  give me a fierce and intense look. ^__~

OMO~! Goo Hara's eye makeup is so pretty!!! I missed wearing eyeliners like this!!! =D

On days that I feel like emphasizing my eyes but don't want to make it look obvious, I smudge on a pencil liner on my upper lash line. It helps a lot in making me look awake. =)

FOTD 122212: Feelin' fresh after the so-called "End of the World"...
See? Only BB Cream + Eyeliner + Mascara + Blush + Lipstick

In my stash:

Wet N' Wild Mega Eyes Cream Liner in Black & Fanny Serrano Soft Eye Pencils in Black and Dark Brown

[Loose Powders or Pressed Powders]
Loose powders can be messy and pressed powders can be cakey. It depends on my mood. I sometimes layer them for more lasting power and coverage. =)

In my stash:

Avon Simply Pretty Shine No More Dual Powder Foundation in Almond & Nichido Final Powder in Natural

[Powder, Cream or Liquid Highlighters]
I prefer using powder highlighters. On days when my skin is calm and I don't have much blemishes, I mix a portion of my MAC Strobe Cream with BB Cream for a more luminous and dewy glow. =)

In my stash:

e.l.f Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder in Luminance & MAC Strobe Cream

[Brushes, Sponges or Fingers]
I used to use my fingers for applying BB Cream. But now that I have a flat top brush, it is easier for me to apply face products. I still use my fingers on putting on makeup. Besides, fingers help warm up any product, making it easier to work with. I rarely use sponges. If ever I do, I use it for patting on pressed foundation on top of BB Cream. =)

In my stash:

Beauty Cosmetics, Marionnaud,, Ever Bilena Advance & Divisoria Brushes with Fanny Serrano Lash Curler

[Waterproof or Non-waterproof]
I prefer waterproof makeup. Its good that it was part of the tag. It made me realize that I got a lot of waterproof products. I like using waterproof products so that they won't fade easily if I sweat or cry. =D

In my stash:

Fashion 21 Waterproof Mascara with Lash Conditioner in Black, Purederm Magic BB Cream, Fanny Serrano Concealer Stick in Cashew, Wet N' Wild Megaplump Mascara in Black, Wet N' Wild Mega Eyes Cream Liner in Black & Fanny Serrano Soft Eye Pencils in Black and Dark Brown

[Can’t Live Without Product]
Now, I can't live without BB Cream. Ever since last year, my hormonal acne worsened, making me suspect that my PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) has gotten worse. I can get away with BB Cream and lipstick/balm. =)

In my stash:

CoverGirl Natureluxe Gloss Balm in Hibiscus, Purederm Magic BB Cream,  Hanskin Mineral Magic BB Cream & Miners Tin o' Tint in Vanilla

These are what I use on a regular basis, especially when I feel lazy to put on some makeup. =D

There you have it! I tag the following ladies:

and each and every one of you! Hahaha! =D

Please send me a link, okay? I'd love to know your preferences! ^__^

It's a Friday! Have a beautiful day!!! ^__^
