Look Who Has Returned!

Why hello there! How are you all doing? 

I'm sorry for being gone for a long time. I've been terribly busy on my career and life in general. The year 2013 is a good year for me and the family. Might as well enjoy it. =)

Why have I been gone for so long? It all started when I submitted my application for a teaching position in the school. I thought that its high time I practice my chosen profession and to also give back to my country. However, it was a long process and in its duration, I got to juggle my various roles as an Online ESL Teacher, a teacher applicant, both a daughter and a daughter-in-law, and more importantly, a wife. The process was long, really long. That was why I couldn't blog because I got to choose what to prioritize. I ended up with these: career and family.

On Teaching Online

I've been working from home for three years now. I never had a bad record and I wouldn't want to have one. In every single thing that I do, I make sure that every thing is done well. Mistakes are no-no for me as much as possible. That could be the reason why my boss trusts me with gusto. =)

So imagine his and his wife's shock when I told him that I'll be applying as a school teacher this year. 

While preparing my papers, I only requested for a leave once or twice. I rarely go on leave, as much as I can. In between classes, I would go to PRC, my university and the school that I am applying at. I learned to move as fast as I could because I never wanted to miss a single class. There was even a time when I had to rent a computer just so I could teach my student. =D

Vain teacher and her monthly reports... What keeps me up? Coffee and cookies! =D

I'll keep this online job of mine even when I get hired in the school. Workaholic much? Hahaha! =D

On Applying as a School Teacher

Just like what I said earlier, it was a long process. I started preparing for my application last January.

Let me try to recall...

First, I had to accomplish and fill out lots of papers... Then, photocopy documents in three or four copies each... I applied for my license... and so on...

The documents... and more of that! =D

Reference Book... unfortunately, I got to choose my demo material from a local book.

I'll try to recall the process of applying for a teaching position in a public school. I'll try to write about it to help other future teachers. =)

I'm glad to get a high rating and was included in Registry A of the list. Unfortunately, the school that I applied at doesn't have any available positions at this moment. 

I actually have so much to say but I still feel sick (been sick since Friday). But I will do my best to write again tomorrow. =)
