Make Up Tutorial: Power Presentation Makeup Look

Happy Thursday loves!

I'm back with a tutorial! Weee! Finally! Haha!

Yesterday, I had a holiday (with the exception of three especially requested classes) so I had a lot of time to spare. However, since hubby also shares the same holiday with me, he kept me from tinkering with my computer. TT__TT

I was supposed to post this yesterday but I only got to finish editing it yesterday and uploaded it this morning. Sorry for letting you wait long.

Let's cut to the chase, shall we? Today, I shall be sharing with you a way on how to look good on a presentation. This is great for both college girls and as well as office workers that need to present in front of a crowd.

It is not enough that you are well-equipped with your reports and presentations. You should also look fresh as a daisy. It helps boost your confidence and therefore gives you an extra point for looking fab despite being under pressure. =D

Classy? ^__~

Wanna learn how I achieved it? Here's a quick tutorial on how I got the look!

PRODUCTS USED:

FACE:
Purederm Magic BB Cream
Nichido Foundation Stick in Beige
Avon Simply Pretty Shine No More Dual Foundation Powder in Almond
e.l.f Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder
e.l.f Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder

EYES:
Natasha Beauty Eye Brow Pencil in Caramel Brown
e.l.f Primer and Sealer
The Body Shop Eye Color Matte in Shade #12
Wet N' Wild Mega Eyes Cream Eye Liner
Wet N' Wild Megaplump Mascara

LIPS:
Cover Girl Natureluxe Gloss Balm in Hibiscus
Avon Simply Pretty Colorbliss Lipstick in Red Roses
Tears Vita Gloss in RD 302

Some people get intimidated by the power of the red lipstick all because they feel that it overpowers the overall look of a person. The trick is to keep everything simple. Also, it is best to wear red lipstick when paired with clear and smooth skin. Got some acne marks? Don't fret! You may use a medium to heavy coverage foundation and some concealer to cover up your flaws! If there's a will, there's a way, you know! ^__~

Follow these beauty equations:

O, ha! Effort!!! =D

I hope these helped! Please try it and show me your recreated look! ^__^

...and good luck with the presentation! ^__~

DIY: Donut Bun

Hello!!! I'm back with a DIY post! ^__^

Who loves donuts? I do! I love strawberry-filled donuts! ^__^

Today, I'll teach you how to make your own donut bun, not the kind that you eat, but the one you use on your hair. Yes! That's right! ^__^

I have always loved donning a bun. It can be classy, chic or cute, even if it's messy! It's a versatile hairstyle that you can wear almost every day! =)

You can purchase donut buns or make them at home! Yes! At home! ^__^

MATERIALS:

A pair of socks
scissors
needle
thread

The socks has to match your hair color for it to be less visible.

You can use:
large, long and thick socks for a big donut bun,

or

short socks for a small donut bun.

I chose to use a pair of long, thick socks. I want a big donut! =D

Oh! And be sure that the socks are clean!!! =D

STEP 1: Lay the socks on top of one another.

STEP 2: Cut the toe part.

STEP 3: Start rolling! =D

Start from the cut portion then go towards the part where you insert your foot. Make sure that it is even. =)

STEP 4: Sew the hem two socks together.

STEP 5: Fold and secure. Sew the edges to the body of the donut bun.

STEP 6: Just invert it and.... You're done! ^__^

Let's see the donut bun in action! ^__~

If you see a gap, just like that, just pin it. ^__~

Sorry if mine was messy... I tried this just before taking a bath. I didn't comb my hair neatly anymore... =D

Horrified? Don't worry, I made this tutorial a few days before the Chroma Straight Makeover. ^__~

Now, you can be glam as Mother Jennifer Lopez! ^__^

TIPS:

  • Gather hair and secure well at the base.
  • For a sleek bun, apply hair products like serums or gels/wax, etc. (whatever floats your boat!). It will help tame your locks. ^__~
  • For casual or errand days, you can wear it as a messy bun. Just be sure to secure it so it won't fall off. =)
  • Wanna be cute? Wear your bun on different sides of your head! =D
  • Be creative! You can always accessorize! ^__^

There are a couple of ways on how to use it. Unfortunately, I can't show it to you anymore because you know, my hair had just been rebonded, so, I can't risk it. Sorry, my loves! =(

I hope you enjoyed making your own donut bun! ^__^

Back-to-School Series: Lesson 1: No Heat Mermaid Waves

Hello! I'm back with another (hopefully) helpful post! This is for all students out there, specifically high school students. ^__^

As a high school teacher, I would like my students to look good without going overboard. During my practicum and even before that, I've seen some girls who have (sorry, girls!) horrible hair and even makeup! C'mon girls, you wouldn't want to look older than teacher, right?

So, as a teacher, let me guide you on how you should look at school. ^__~

Let's start with hair.

Today, I shall be teaching you how to create a  pretty hairstyle.

I'll show you how to get this hairstyle without using any heat...

Our lesson for today is the "No Heat Mermaid Waves".

Are you ready?

This is especially easy for girls who want to look glam without having spending too much time on the curling iron... =)

I used to have short hair way back in High School. I guess, if I had long hair that time, then I shall be sporting this...

I hope that helps! So girls, don't forget to do your homework! Leave a comment below! ^__~

Quick and Easy Top Bun Tutorial

Hi! I am back with a hair tutorial for you!

In my pics, you would notice that I wear usually put my hair in a bun. When I wear my pink top, and put my hair in a high bun, Jagi would call me "Miss Minchin".

You might have seen this pic from my "Holidays 2011" post. And yes! My hair is in a bun there!!! Kekeke~!!! =D

If hubby calls me "Miss Minchin", our house helper would call me "Korean Girl", especially when I accessorize it with a cutesy hair bow. ^__^

I like putting my hair in a bun because it prevents my hair from sticking to my skin, especially when it is hot and humid. Besides, on days that my hair is unruly and behaving real bad, its easy to just grab a hair tie (or two) and keep them in place.

I can do it in a minute or two, depends if I like it messy or neat looking.

Wanna learn how to do it? Watch the video below and learn how I do my signature bun! ^__^

Real quick and easy, huh? Try it! ^__^

IU-Inspired Hairstyle (Inkigayo Performance 010112)

I'm back! Annyonghaseyo!

새해 복 많이 받으세요!!!

(Sae hae bok mahn ee bahd euh sae yo!!! - Translation: Happy New Year! Literally: May you be blessed in the New Year)

This was posted in my Youtube account last week. I was busy previously and during my four-day holiday (Korean Lunar New Year), I decided to spend time with my hubby and away from the laptop. =D

I like IU a lot. She's so adorable and maybe that's the reason why she's called one of the "Nation's Little Sister(s)" in Korea.

Just look at these reference photos and see how cute she is!

Awww... Such a doll! ^__^

Looks so innocent...

She's wearing a modern hanbok... =)

These screen caps were from her performance in Inkigayo, last January 1st, 2012.

Her "You and I" live performance

Want to copy the hairstyle? Here's my quick and easy tutorial on how to get this look.

I hope you love it! If ever you tried it, snap a photo and tweet me a link! ^__^
