What I Got For My Birthday This Year

Not that I still have a hangover on my birthday month (which I miss), but let me share with you the birthday presents I got... ^__^

Hubby got me the Le Faerie Super Palette! ^__^

 Gorgeous palette!!! Just what I need!!! ^__^

I've been wanting to dreaming of having an eyeshadow palette with a wide selection of colors in it, in fact, I'm okay with the Sleek palettes which I included in my wishlish here. I wasn't expecting that hubby would actually get me something like the Le Faerie Super Palette!!! Imagine my joy when I unboxed it!!! =D


A few hours before my birthday...

Hubby: (looking at me intently, with a playful grin on his lips) Yihiieee!!! Go ahead and ogle it... *grins*
Me: *Blushes* Stop it! (places the box on top of my makeup stash)

A little later...

Hubby: Why aren't you looking at my present yet? Don't you like it?
Me: I do! Later, okay?


A few seconds after that...

Me: (holding the box in my hands, nervously opening the box and carefully removing the acetate cover of the eye shadow palette)
Hubby: (stopped watching something on youtube on my smart phone) You like it?
Me: (startled) Waaah! You startle me! I might scratch my new babies!!!
Hubby: o__O


Teehee! So much for loving my new babies... =D

Ms Sophie sent me a pack of Inti-Mate Bra Converters which arrived a couple of days before my birthday.

Now, I won't be a victim of "The Fallen" straps! =D


It's her way of thanking me for "advertising" her CashCashPinoy deal on my Facebook wall. She just found my post cute... hehehe... But I was actually not expecting her to "react" like that! What a surprise!!! =D
                        

And Bee gifted me with a cute pair of wedges. ^__^

I'm a Leo!: A Super Overdue Post! =D

I'm not sure if any of my readers knew that I celebrated my birthday last month. Well, except for the bee-yoo-tee-ful Bee... =D

Before I review the Flawless Skin Care Kit I mentioned in my last post, let me share what went through during my super busy birthday month... before this super busy month of September ends! Hahaha! =D

 I got this a few days before my birthday. Inside is a Yakson House Magazine! Thank you, Yakson House! ^__^

August 18th. There was an event at our school and my hubby's aunt's niece (gets? =D) asked me to make her pretty for their school presentation. They wore Filipiniana clothes and strut their stuff in the catwalk! How cool, right? I actually like their professor's idea. It makes students embrace our rich Filipino culture. ^__^

 This is her before photo. Sorry if the picture is not good. We were in a hurry and she's conscious. She's not used to these kinds of stuff. =D

This is her after photo. I used shimmery earth tones and smoked it out. I want to give her a modern Maria Clara look. Naks! What do you think? 

My only problem with her was, her skin was oily and she perspire a lot. I learned that her makeup stayed intact but she had to wash it off after the fashion show because aside from being conscious, her liner started to bleed already. To think that I used waterproof liner and mascara and sealed every thing!

Anyways, after that, we had a sumptuous lunch to celebrate my birthday. My mom-in-law and hubby cooked lots of viands for us to share! =D

I think only beef dish is the one missing... We don't normally have beef dishes at home because the mother-in-law can't eat it. She's not allowed to consume beef after having cancer. Even until now that she's cancer-free, she's steering away from it. So, when hubby and I dine out, I prefer having beef dishes. =D

In the middle of our meal, I received a tube of Encara BB Cream from Ms. Aila! I also received a text message from Mary and Maria Boutique, that I won the Escada Fragrance Set from their Freebie Fridays! I was actually the first winner!!! OMG!!!! ^__^

That night, I went to church and met up with Bee. She brought me what hubby ordered from her. She also surprised me with a pair of really lovely shoes!!! Clever Bee, she remembered my shoe size from our Facebook chitchats!!!

Lovely and wild rolled in one! =D

Bee, can you read minds or, are you just good at remembering? I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE wedges!!! ^__^

We went to Yellow Cab Lacson and chatted the night away! If only we could talk for a long time! I had fun that night and I am glad to finally meet you. You're really BEE-yoo-tee-ful!!! ^__^

August 19th. My birthday! Hubby and I went grocery shopping at SaveMore. He cooked spaghetti and his own version of Bonchon chicken. Yum! ^__^

Cerelac? Huh? That's not mine! It's for the little man at home! Hahaha!

Oooh... so plenty of cold cuts!!! =D

Hubby's spaghetti and Fried Chicken! I'm really lucky to have a husband who knows how to cook!!! ^__^

While I was savoring my meal and watching Disney's Atlantis on Fox Movies, sitting in a corner like a little child, my hubby's grandfather called me and told me that someone looks for me. I was not expecting anyone that day, so, I was really surprised. Can you guess who it was?

It was Dawn of the Peachy Pink Sisters!!! ^__^

I was truly surprised as I was only wearing pambahay, shabby clothes and I wasn't even wearing any trace of makeup. (Yeah, looking bland on my birthday! Hahaha!!!) I quickly recognized her from the other end of our hallway and I immediately felt breathless!!! =D

She personally dropped by our house to deliver the prizes I won from their Blog Anniversary giveaway! It was so touching and special for me!!! ^__^

I invited her inside but she was having a date with her brother to the all new Robinsons's Magnolia (which I've never visited yet). When she left, I felt so giddy and oh so kilig while staring at the package!!! I was actually smiling from ear to ear!!! =D

Yeah, yeah, I am such a sentimental person! Hahaha!!!

I may have not received all the things from my birthday wishlist, I'm still thankful for all the good (and even bad) things that went my way. ^__^


To sum it up, August was a blast for me! I thank God for the life he has given me. And I am very happy that I am still alive until this moment. Yes, I shall be facing many trials and challenges in the future but I am sure that God has great plans for me despite those hardships.

Back from the Last Hurrah

First Monday of August.

Gotta start fresh.

I am still a bit tired and sleepy from our outing yesterday. We only took an hour of sleep in our friend's place when we got back to Manila. Although I slept a lot last night, I still feel tired. I'm on my third day of my "Magic Days".

The place was kinda homey. When I first entered the kitchen and bathroom, it smelled like my grandfather's old house in Sta. Mesa. It looks kinda old but safe enough to leave our stuff like our laptops and cell phones around. =)

My bare face... I look so darn pale... No Make-up + sick = UBER PALE!

Eros and Hyun-Ae... Eros is Sam's laptop. Hyun-Ae is mine. ^__^

At lunch, resident cook Ate Anne prepared a dish of delicious Pork Sinigang. They also fried some fresh tilapia. The lunch was so heavenly! I wanted to eat more but I was not feeling good. This phase irks my appetite. Ate Anne knew and noticed that I wasn't feeling good and checked if I got the medicine in her purse. I said yes. and took it just before lunch. =)

After eating lunch, the people immediately fixed the table and washed the dishes. Some, like me, jumped into the pool. I was careful not to diffuse red stuff everywhere! Hahaha!

Sam said I looked like a doll... A pale-faced doll, in my opinion! Hahaha!

It was so fun. In the afternoon, the pool was turned into a swimming school... Big Mark and my Honey turned into swimming instructors. Imagine, from English Teachers cum Trainers to Swimming Instructors. Pretty versatile, eh? Hahaha!

They also became cooks! Big Mark, Honey and Cherrie's hubby helped in preparing and grilling the fishies. Boys barbecued yummy marinated pork! Talk about Cherrie's hubby, he's cool! I'm not sure if it's the first time everyone met him but he was very nice to and open to everyone. We all like him. ^__^

At dinnertime, everyone loved the pork barbecue, milkfish and tilapia. How I wished it'll always be like that fun!

I took a bath and changed to dry clothes right away after eating dinner. Some had strawberry vodka but I decided to doze off because I wasn't really feeling well. I also have to go to work today, remembering that I've got lots of students this month.

At around 11:30 PM, I woke up to the sound of my funny recording for Yo, Bo!. I got off bed and sat beside Sam, who was uploading some of the pics she had taken in the afternoon. I wanted to go online and prepare my comments for today's classes but I was tired and sick to do so. I went back to bed while honey started preparing the things he will use for his special macaroni soup. ^__^

I don't know what time it was but he tried to wake me up so I could have some soup. I told him "later". Later on, Big Mark was waking everybody so we could eat, pack and prepare for our journey back to reality, er, Manila. =D

We were supposed to go straight to the office but we thought it was too early. We dropped off at Ate Anne's place and immediately fell asleep for an hour. She woke us up because the Manong Henry had to open the office at 10:00. We had breakfast part 2 and prepared to go to work.

On our way to work, I asked, "Can I NOT go to work today?". I feel so tired, sleepy and slightly depressed with all the changes happening around me. Instead, they encouraged me to stay patient and just think of myself lucky because I still have a job for a month. *Stop.* *Will not rant on this wonderful post.*

I'm happy to start my Birthday month with these friends. =)

Exactly a Month Before my Birthday...

Gosh... time flies so quickly! Would you imagine, I'm turning 26 YEARS OLD already!!! O__O

I remember last year, Honey's parents prepared a little party for me on my 25th birthday... I wasn't expecting that but they always surprise me with something... =)
