Just Got Lucky Series: The Beauty Junkee's 3rd Blog Anniversary Giveaway

On the night of June 5th, before going to sleep, I felt the urge to check my personal Facebook page on my new smart phone... Hubby was already sleeping while I was silently scrolling through my page in the dark...

Then....

I got a message on my Facebook page wall coming from Ms. Martha, The Beauty Junkee, telling me to check my email. And I hurriedly opened my email inbox from my phone and excitedly opened the message with her name on it.

She chose me as one of her recipients on her 3rd Blog Anniversary Giveaway. She told me that one of the winners didn't respond to her email, so she had to chose another one. =)

I felt so giddy that I tapped hubby and told him that I won! =D

Me: (After reading Ms. Martha's email, eyes opened wide and felt giddy) Jagi!!!
Hubby: (Still sleeping and grunting in reply) ....
Me: I won!!! I won!!!
Hubby: (Snored)
Me: (Ignored his snores and still felt giddy) =D

Honestly, I had a harder time going to sleep that night, and my tweets that night were true. =D

I marked the day of the meet-up on my calendar in my smartphone, as winners from Metro Manila are supposed to pick up the prizes personally from her. =)

The venue was in Bonifacio High Street, Taguig. It was the first time that me and hubby would go there. We first took the PNR Train, from the station a few blocks from our street then when we got off Nichols station, the hubby decided to take a cab in going to the venue, for several purposes: he doesn't want to be late for the meet-up because of taking a jeepney ride and, we made a boo-boo of forgetting to bring an umbrella on a dark, cloudy day.  (You know, if you take the jeep, there's a chance that you'll get lost. He usually take a cab when we go somewhere we are not familiar with, especially when we have to meet someone. I am the adventurous type, and I like searching for various ways on how to get to a place commuting. =D Hence, the reason why instead of taking a cab from our place, I insisted that we try taking the train ride. Besides, there's no traffic when taking the train. =D It was my second time to take the PNR train. 

Eventually, it started drizzling when we got off the train, so we had no choice but to hail a cab. =D

In the cab, hubby started teasing me about the meet-up. He said, I might freeze again in shyness. =D

I told him, "Never again!" Hahaha!!! XD

We got to The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf by 4pm, I'm not sure if I was the first to arrive but we sat there and waited for a tiny bit. I saw Ms. Martha with the loads of goodies for us and she immediately handed me my loot. We sat down and waited for the others. Like what I said in my previous post, she was very nice. ^__^

I can't stop writing, although I mentioned in my previous post that I'll do so. XD

So, I'd write about random stuff...

One of my former students, which I really love, sent me an e-mail. It makes me so happy receiving messages from people that appreciate me. ^__^

My online shop is still pending. I can't work on it yet because I am still trying to figure out the basics for such business. I'll sell different sorts of stuff. I'll sell authentic make-up from the US (MAC, NYX, etc.), clothes, accessories and gadgets. So if someone out there is reading about this sentiment of mine, please help me out. Please, please, please!!! O___O

I left Hyun-Ae with Honey's mom today. I don't have to worry that much. I'm pretty sure she's having tons of fun playing Plants Vs. Zombies. ^__^

Talk about Hyun-Ae, I've got some programs installed in her. I got Photoshop, Sony Vegas and Acoustica MP3 Mixer. Problem is, I still can't work with them because I still don't know how to use them. =D

Can someone help me? I plan to edit pictures for Honey and I plan to design our own wedding stationary. ^__^

I'm hoping God send me an Angel who could help me with some of the things I mentioned here... =D

Crappy Blogger!

Is there something wrong with blogger or is it me? =(

Today, I'm trying to edit my page for my contest and giveaway entries but there seem to be something wrong with blogger... I am getting darn irritated already... Hyun-Ae (my laptop) hangs when I try to edit the page... Argh!!!

Can anybody help me? I plan to edit the layout too but maybe this weekend... I think I'll have a difficult time doing so if my Hyun-Ae would keep hanging... Help, please!!! =(

Friends, I am not raved over Justin Bieber... I got a new baby and it was the first song that came across my mind... ^__^

OMG... I still can't believe it. I have actually purchased my very first REAL (as in, a big and "pricey" sort-of-kind one) gadget. Everyone, meet my new baby, NEO Edge Z3310. I am still trying to figure out what name to give her, but I am considering "Hyun Ae" or "Ariel", as my Honey suggested. She will help me with a lot of stuff, especially with the business that we're cooking up. She will also help me blog and keep me blogging more. She'll help me get more updates and keep me connected with the people that I love and admire. She’ll keep me informed. She'll be my virtual assistant. ^__~ (Looks like the name Hyun Ae fits her more. It's means "wise, smart, clever" and "loving.". =D)

Saturday morning, Honey knocked on my door and woke me up. He said we will be accompanying his sister to get the money her boyfriend sent her. Then, he said that his mom told him to buy the laptop the same day. And so, I got up a excitedly and changed clothes and did a few morning routines. We were in a hurry because we have to meet the person all the way in Cainta. His sister and I had to put on make-up in the taxi because we really were rushing. Their brother went with us. So, there were four of us in the cab.

It took us an hour to get to the house of her boyfriend's co-worker in Cainta. We stayed there for only a few minutes (like, 10-15 minutes). We then rode a bus going to Robinson's Galleria then took another cab going to Glorietta. She had the money converted to Philippine pesos. We didn't stay for long and rode another cab going to Gilmore, where we decided to buy the laptop. Big Mark was supposed to go with us and help us purchase a really good laptop. Unfortunately, he read our messages late since he also got up late from bed. We saw various kinds, with various specs, and we had to look around before seeing the Neo laptops. Actually, Honey was planning to get one of the Neo Basic series, but opted to get the Neo Edge series.

Long story cut short, we bought the Neo Edge Z3310 unit and went home tired but happy (especially me). ^__^

Earlier, Honey's "bro-in-law to-be" talked to all of us while we were on our way to Glorietta and he talked to us. Then, he told her girlfriend to take us to the movies. And so, Honey, the sister-in-law (to-be), the brother-in-law (to-be) and the new maid went with us to watch the last full show of Eclipse in SM San Lazaro. It was great! ^__^

I am so happy today. I got my laptop (not with my own money at the moment, but will soon return the money borrowed from the future sis-in-law on Monday... plus Honey's share... heheheh).

One of the best days in my life... =)

51st Blog Entry: Really Dying to Blog!!!

It is only a few days before I get my hands on my laptop... and I am really dying to blog. I had a lot to blog about the month of June, but it was restricted to browse "illegal" sites (Facebook, Twitter, yahoo - yes, you read it right: YAHOO! A blog is considered a social network thingy, so, it's also restricted.). Besides, I was quite busy and stressed these days, due to the fact that the end is coming. Darn! its so sad because I really love my job. The company went well and earned a lot but all of a sudden, some issues rose and now the main office (our branch) is at stake. I don't want to think of that for the meantime since it really depresses me. Let's stop ranting there. I don't want to spoil the day.

On Monday, Honey will buy me a laptop. Two of his choices are: Neo Basic B2240 and Acer Gateway LT2028H. What can you say about them? Which one do you think works better, looks better, and suits me more? Well, I will not only use it for blogging, but if you read my last post, I am planning to start an online shop. I'll sell clothes, shoes, make-up (from U.S - that is, if our future Ninang agrees to the plan, which, Honey's mom thinks that would be a two thumbs up. Hi) and if ever, I'll try to make accessories, too. =)

Today, one of our college friends dropped by the office to meet Honey and brought me a Strawberry Frappe. I love strawberries. So sweet of him. ^__^

Tomorrow will be what me and my circle of office friends call "Exodus". Every body plans to wear black for this "occassion". Well, I only hope it's not the one we are expecting. =(
