Just Got Lucky Series: HBC Hortaleza MD Soaps and GC's from MissKatV

It's 12-12-12!!! How was this day for you?

Am I lucky or what? A couple of months ago, I won (again) from Miss KatV! ^__^

I think she's really my beauty fairy! A few months ago, I also won in one of her HBC-sponsored contests! You can check out the nail polish loot here. =)

This time, they gave away Hortaleza, M.D soaps and GC's.

Lookie! It's got my name on it! ^__^

I appreciate it when companies put tags on their gift packs. It means that the loot is really for the winner. ^__^

Let's see what's inside! ^__^

Facial Soaps and Diamond Peel GC's

Hortaleza, M.D Acnesol, Hortaleza, M.D Puressence, and Hortaleza, M.D Illuminous Facial Soap

Diamond Peel "Beauty Certificates"

Since the Beauty Certificates were about to expire, I gave them to my Mom-in-law and her officemates to enjoy. Hubby and I were too busy to avail of the Diamond Peel ourselves.

As of the moment, I am using the 2nd bar of the Acnesol. And yes, I am taking down notes on my observations! =)

Has any of you tried any of these products? What do you think about HBC's skincare line?

Thanks a lot, HBC and MissKatV!!! ^__^

I hope you had a good 12-12-12!!! I think a lot of couples got married today! =D

Nail of the Week: Purple Glam!

Happy Thursday every one!

I am supposed to be taking a nap now, but I just can't wait for my video to be uploaded in Youtube. So, while waiting for it to upload, let me share with you my nail of the week... ^__^

If you can remember, the last NOTW that I posted had been a couple of months ago, if you wanna see it, check this link out! ^__~

Last Friday, I got all excited for my Chroma Straight Makeover courtesy of L'oreal Academie. I couldn't sleep so I decided to paint my nails instead. The excitement kept me awake, which was good for two things:
1. I could do my nails, and;
2. I could look over the feverish hubby... =)

Earlier in the day, I have been thinking of what to do with my nails. I was undecided if I would do a polka dot s nail art, a water marble nail art, or just paint my nails. Before my classes, I tried to experiment with water marbling. However, I think the consistency of my nail polishes ain't good for water marbling. Or maybe, I was in a hurry and got impatient. Teehee... =D

I got loads of classes on Fridays (so much for working hard before the weekend!) and I wasn't able to do my nails in between my classes. I ended painting my nails at bedtime. =D

Like what I said earlier, it was a good thing that I didn't get sleepy right after my classes...

And this was what I did:

Step 1: Clean, file and buff nails. =)

Step 2: Apply base coat. I used The Face Shop Nail Polish in PP405.

Step 3 and 4: Apply a layer or two of San San Nail Polish in Purple Glam. Then top off with a clear nail polish. =)

Oh, and by the way, don't forget to clean up the sides! ^__~

So quick and easy, right? ^__^

Yam-y! XD

I am so in love with my current nail polish that I want to wear it again next week... =D

What about you? What nail polish are you wearing now? ^__^

P.S: A hair tutorial is coming right up! ^__^

Just Got Lucky Series: San San Nail Polish Goodies

Third installation of the "Just Got Lucky Series"... ^__~

I have actually won this loot last January but was able to pick it up by the end of February. See? I was that busy. =D

I was supposed to pick this lovely prize that I won from MissKatV and HBC's Happy Beautifil Christmas Campaign at SM San Lazaro. However, the HBC shop there has been closed already. So, HBC had to forward it to the nearest shop within the area, which is HBC Blumentritt. As you know, I don't have the chance to go out that much. I was already about to ask our house helper to pick it up for me one Sunday, when my mom-in-law asked me a favor to drop by Manila Green Park to pay something there. HBC Blumentritt is just a few blocks away from the site, so, I decided to walk towards that direction despite the scorching heat.

Stuff I got:

Raspberry Peach - red orange with shimmer
Lilac Pearl - duochrome pearl and purple
Violet Glam - dark purple
Lavender Blush - light purple with shimmers
Tea Rose - shimmery old rose

The staff of HBC Blumentritt is really, really, really accommodating. They have even mistaken me as a Chinese! Blame it to the high bun and full bangs! I guess the eyes have played a part, too! Hahaha! But, I think I look more like a Korean, with my eye shape... well, nevermind! They found me cute! I was giddier when I returned home! Imagine, they never have guessed that I am already married! =D

They're so pretty in 60's style! ^__^

I wasn't able to use the polishes right away. But when I did, I got to use FOUR of the polishes in creating a gradient nail art using Lilac Pearl, Violet Glam, Lavender Blush and Tea Rose. You can check it out here. =)

Still a "Miss"! Yay! =D

San San Nail polishes are available at HBC Stores Nationwide. You can now also order ONLINE! =)

Have you tried San San Nail Polishes?

What are your thoughts about it? What are your favorite shades? ^__^

A huge thanks to HBC and Miss Kat V! ^__^

Just Got Lucky!

Last March, I was lucky for a week for I got lots of prizes in a span of a week... So lucky that people at home are suspecting that I am carrying a "lucky charm" already... *joke*

I gathered them and took photos of them. I'll probably make separate posts on each prize... =D

List of stuff I won:
Saridon Giftpack and Goodskin Labs Eyeliplex-2 from Ms. Nikki
Mon Petit Boudoir Corset and Skirt from Ms. Aisa and Mon Petit Boudoir Shop
San San Nail Polish Goodies from Ms. KatV and HBC
Garnier "Gift Pack" from Garnier Twitter contest
Majolica Majorca + Korea Cosmetics Goodies from Ms. Des

I actually have a few more stuff to get/pickup... I guess I really got lucky last March... I still hope to win more giveaways in the future! Haha! ^__^

I love joining giveaways because it makes me feel a bit competitive making my entries... For example, I didn't expect that my question for Dr. Frank of Goodskin Labs was creative enough for them to pick my question. ^__^

I promise to post about each of the stuff that I won above. Just give me time, I am quite busy with the Summer Kindergarten Program of our church. I am trying my best to keep up with my blogging. Thanks to Ms. Bee, who encouraged me to keep going because I told her that it seems that I barely get comments and stuff on my blog... hehehe... I guess I need to work on posting more! ^__^

A "Get Ready with Me" video is on its way... It'll be posted on this blog later... ^__^

How about you? What giveaways have you won recently? Share! ^__^

Nail of the Week: Purple Gradient Nails

Today, I shall share you my "Nail of the Week". In fact, I've been wearing this for more than a week already. =D

All of the polishes I used were from HBC. Wanna recreate it? Here's how:

1. Make sure your nails are clean and sanitized. File it to your desired shape. =)

2. Apply base coat. For me, since I don't have one, I used Caronia colorless nail polish. Let dry.

3. Take a duochrome pearl-pink nail polish like San San Nail Polish in Lilac Pearl and apply on entire nail. Again, let it dry.

4. Get a piece of sponge and a small piece of plastic (to be used as a palette). You can use an old CD case like I did. =D

5. Put a few drops of pink nail polish. I used San San Tea Rose. It is actually mauvey-pink. Dab the sponge on the pink polish and dab on the middle half of your nail. Let dry.

6. Then take a purple shade. Put a few drops and dab the sponge there. Apply it on the tip of the nail, about 1/4 of the nail. I used San San Violet Glam.

7. Since my purple polish was a bit dark, I toned it down using San San Lavender Blush, a lighter purple nail polish. If I used Lavender Blush alone, the purple won't stand out and it won't look like a gradient. that's why I had to use a darker purple nail polish before Lavender Blush.

8. Top it off with your clear nail polish to smooth out the top coat and seal it. =)

9. Let it dry completely.

10. You're done! Haha! ^__^

Here's how mine turned out.

There you go! Thanks to HBC and Miss Kat V for these pretty nail polishes! I'll be posting a review soon! ^__^

Hubby thought it's a French Tip... What do you think? -___-
