A Year After... Plus An Invitation

Hello! I am sooo... back! Nearly a year after I gave birth to my firstborn, I am super back! So many changes, but dear angels, I am still ALIVE!

I wanted to write about so many things... from my birthing story, to my life as a new mommy, to being a working breastfeeding mom, to being a teacher after being a mom, to chattering about my little ray of sunshine. I guess I am managing my time kind of well because if not, I won't be able to write this post. Haha!

On the other hand, let me just quickly post about..
:

BRIGADA ESKWELA 2016

Brigada Eskwela is a project spearheaded by the Department of Education. It is designed to prepare the school through the aid of the community in line with the first day of classes. It will run from May 30 - June 4, 2016.

This year, the theme of Brigada Eskwela is:
"Tayo Para sa Paaralang Ligtas, Maayos, at Handa Mula Kindergarten Hanggang Senior High School."

It aims to prepare the school and make it a safe place for students not only during class, but also in times of calamities.

Let's all go out and support our local schools. Let's work hand in hand to make our schools a clean and safe place for the children of the future! ^__^

If you may ask, I work in P. Gomez Elementary School, Sta. Cruz, Manila. For those interested to volunteer or send in donations/in kind, kindly send me a message through Facebook, Twitter, or Email. Just hit the Contact Me up there. ^__^

See you around, sweethearts! ^_^

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

I know, I know... I've been gone for too long. Blame it on my teaching career! Haha!

My first year and the succeeding months were tough, but slowly, I am getting the hang of it. They say many idealistic stuff about teaching (and I am an idealistic person, as one of our college friends said), saying that it is a noble job, the greatest of all professions, and blah, blah, blah... Once you get in the real "battleground" you'll see the reality of it all. I'm not saying that it isn't a fulfilling career, what I only mean is, it is an entirely different thing once you are in the real setup. So far, I am embracing it and still convincing myself that I am in the right track. I aim to provide my students the very best of what I could offer.

So, just as I have entitled this post, I have so much to share to you guys! So much that I don't know where to start...

Hmmm... why don't we start with this...

Yes! We are pregnant! Right now, I am exactly 20 weeks on the way. The first photo up there was taken when I was only about 8 weeks pregnant. The second photo was my very first belly shot, taken last January. I think I should take a more recent belly pic one of these days.

So far, I am so joyous with this blessing because as early as now, our unborn baby has started to change our lives already. The husband is more caring and loving than ever. I mean, he's a bit more showy of his affection than before. I have so much to say about this whole pregnancy thing but let me take a break and put that in another post... hopefully. Hahaha!

Next, as far as teaching is concerned, I feel that I am taking the reins aleady. Slowly, but surely. This deserves another post.

And last, but not the least, beauty-related concerns? I am still up to that but I am starting to feel left behind with some beauty trends and whatnots. Yet, I am still passionate with this craft. I'm still learning and exploring new things to improve my knowledge. Yes. I am still the family's official makeup artist! Haha!

I'm hoping to be able to have more free time soon so that I could update my site with lots of things that goes on in my life. Also, I want to upload my latest beauty routine, some tutorials, and so much more! Let's hope that I'll be back to blogging for good. ^_^

Till then! Thanks for dropping by!!! ♡♡♡

Sample Room: One Of A Kind Beauty Sampling Experience

Don't you just hate it when you purchase a full-sized product only to find out that it doesn't work for you? Or buy an expensive and well-raved product but unfortunately gave you allergic reactions? How about a beauty product that suited your skin best during the first application but after a few hours, turned out to be the wrong shade for you?

I got a confession to make. I am a workaholic. It got worse when I started working from home. I would work so hard that there was a point when I had early morning classes until 11 o'clock in the evening. Yes. I am obsessed with my job. My boss is probably over-amazed at me at this point. Teehee! So, you might ask, "What has it got to do with beauty products?". Did I read your minds? Well, as a person who slaves off and works for more than eight hours a day, I value my moolah as much as my job. So, I am especially careful when it comes to purchasing anything - most importantly to products that I use on my skin. Before purchasing something, I make sure I make researches, check out reviews and ask people I know who has tried using a particular product. However, there are still some times that doing those things don't work. So, I have to risk it and buy something that I am not sure if will work. If I'm lucky, I rave about it. If not, I have to find out a way to make it work for me or else, I have to give it away or throw it. I hate it when my money goes down the drain. Stingy as it may seem, but hey, you should definitely get the worth of every cent that you worked hard for.

Good thing, there's Sample Room!

What's Sample Room?

Sample Room is a sampling site that banks on the power of free product sampling. It is an online community that changes your beauty-shopping pattern; and an interactive community where your opinions matter and where all beauty lovers are valued.

I super love its concept! Imagine, you won't have to go to the mall just to ask for free samples. You can simply do it at the comfort of your homes! I must say, for a person who rarely goes out, it is rather convenient.  ^__^

You may or may not have heard of it but here's how it works (Click on the image to enlarge):

After the Rain

Hello! Happy Friday!!!

I am really doing my very best to update my blog now. The past two months was a roller coaster ride for me. It gave me ups and downs... Mostly downs, and I blame my hormones for it.

I felt so weak, sick and so bored. I felt like a bird in a cage. Always stuck with my job... not that I hate my job, I love my job. There will be times that I get stressed with some students, but they are not all that bad. Some are good students, while some, well, let's say, they're just kids who are lazy to study. Commonly, Korean kids are pushed by their parents to study and go to various academies. And adding up online classes added to the poor students' stress. So, I cannot really blame them. However, I understand their parents. I know why they want their children to study hard. Back in their days, the times were tough, food was scarce and not everyone can afford to go to school Now that Korea is booming, they want their kids to have a better life. And what only way can they get that, but through studying?

Some kids like the set-up, while others don't. Personally speaking, I like it. I am the kind of person who loves learning. If I am a young Korean student and my parents explained the reason why they put me into intensive learning, I would definitely and happily go to those institutions. Tiring, yes, but it's always a fulfillment for me when I learn something. I remember when I was around five or six years old, my mom used to send me to ballet classes (which I enjoyed) and at the same time, made me take up piano classes courtesy of my grandmother, who is a piano teacher. I used to think that I can learn it anytime, taking my classes for granted. Sadly, I didn't learn playing the it (shame on me) because I always choose food over my piano lessons. Now, I feel disappointed not having learned to play it. It was only during my teenage years when I felt the urge to study playing the piano - now that grandma is gone. =(

It is those situations that some kids don't understand. Plus, it is always an advantage when you know a particular skill. Learn it while you can, for you'll never know when you'll need it.

Now, going back to what I was rambling about... okay, I admit, Work got its nerve on me. I'll cut the story short. I missed my husband; we didn't get a lot of time to spend together due to our responsibilities. And another thing related to that is, we can't go out and have our own time to ourselves. It has made me so sad and very prone to tantrums that the helper, hubby's aunt and I were almost suspecting that I am already pregnant, because my last period was from last August. I'm not sure whether it's good news or not, but it finally came last October, a couple of weeks ago. During the span of time it wasn't "visiting" me, I was always not in the mood, and poor hubby had to endure it. Since we lacked time for one another, a lot of things disturbed me - I got sick, my period made me paranoid and made me avoid taking medicines, I was bored, I missed my friends and I wallowed on the missed opportunities all because of sticking with my job. I was grumpy all the time and would stay in my bedroom all day. My laptop and internet connection were my trusty pals.

Then, I realized and admitted to hubby that I just missed him, that I missed talking with him. Since that "confession", everything was back to normal. All the boredom and misery were all because of missing him...

Lesson learned? Learn to bravely confront your partner and talk things over. There's no better way to solve a problem than a good talk. *wink*

Ironically, this was taken last August, after Habagat. I was supposed to write about our experience during that time but things piled up. Little did I know that a different storm would come...

Bright, sunny days are coming... the storm is gone... =)

I hope I didn't bore you with my story. Thanks for sticking with me until this minute. =)

I already have a lineup of my future posts. Please stay tuned! ^__^

P.S: Yubu, I know you'll get to read this post. I'm sorry for making you upset. I love you. Always put that in your heart and mind. ♥♥♥

FOTD 080212: Sexy Vixen

Hello there! How are you doing? I'm sorry I've been gone for a whole week. The flood last week was terrible and I lost my internet connection for two days. With kids around, I can't edit my photos as for sure, they'll either bug me or play around while I work. You know, I got stuck in the second floor of my in-laws' house. My super kulit 1 year old sister-in-law, my 5 month old nephew, our helper's kids were there, too and a child actor (yes, a child actor - anyone here who watched "Alice Bungisngis and her Wonder Walis"? What about and the currently airing "Makapiling Kang Muli" (both shows are from GMA 7)? He's part of the cast. ;D). So imagine five kids in a room with me and my laptop? Not a good idea. =D

The traumatizing event that occurred last week has done some effect on me and my blogging. During my hiatus, I managed to gather a lot of ideas to blog about. And right now, they're stuck in my head.

Before the nameless disaster, I had a long mental list of what to blog... and since I missed a week of blogging, I had more of what to blog! I better remind myself to take it slowly! =D

Okay. On to this look.

Day 1

I wore this look last Thursday, August 2nd. This was supposed to be part of a tutorial but unfortunately, I didn't notice that I wasn't able to hit the record button. I mean, I hit it, but it didn't respond. =(

Since the look was quick and easy to do, I decided to wear it again on Friday. And I made sure I hit the record button before starting my antics. =D

Back from the Flood!

Hello there! Thank God I am still alive!

As you know, I got so much backlogs to work on these days. Unfortunately, the weather was too bad that we got flooded, had power shortage and I lost my internet connection for two and a half days. What's worse is, I wasn't able to teach my students for two days. =(

However, I am thankful because God kept me and my family safe, warm and full (we kept eating the whole time!). We were even able to celebrate our house helper's birthday with a small feast. =D

I shall work on my backlogs soon. I promise there's a lot in store for you. Right now, I suddenly feel sick and my body aches all over. I confess that I want to rest, but I can't. I gotta work because my birthday is coming and I want to treat myself.

I'll blabber about a of things soon. Hold on, okay?

Stressed, eh? =(

I hope every one is safe and sound. Take care!!!

Happy Weekend: Birthday Party! ^__^

*Photo heavy post! =)

Hello! ^_^

It feels so good to back! Following many blogs and reading them takes me a lot of time! You know, I get stressed when I don't get to finish doing something... =D

Another thing that stresses me out? Backlogs! I better make some catching up! ^__^

So, here I am, sharing with you what I did about a week ago. I went to a party... A baby's 1 year old party! ^__^

It was held at the classy Renaissance 2000 Condominium last July 14th. It was rainy that day but went ahead instead. The mom and dad were good friends of ours and they just arrived from Korea a few months ago. The last time I've seen this couple was last December, during their short visit here. Sadly, when hubby and I visited them, I suddenly had fever (maybe due to excitement) and little baby is already tired out of entertaining his parents' guests. Teehee!

First, hubby and I met two of our former colleagues (and really good friends) at SM Megamall. Then we took a cab going to the place. It was actually a quick 10-minute ride (well, it could have been a bit faster if not because of the weather and the traffic building up by the mall). The party was supposed to start at 5:30 but the guests probably got stuck in the traffic so most of them got arrived a bit late.

Selca shot while waiting and chatting with friends! =D

Will share my FOTD in another post. =)

Sam and Sir Henry, one of hubby's best buddy

Our table

Love the simple but classy arrangement! ^__^

The little baby boy is part-Korean, part-Filipino. His mom was our company's former Vice President that became a VERY good friend of ours (She's my Eonni or "elder sister" in Korean!!! ^__^). His dad was introduced to us on the day Eonni resigned. He was very nice! Although we met a few times only, it seems like we've known each other for a long time. I call him "Oppa" (or "elder brother" or "Kuya" in English and Tagalog respectively). =)

Doljabi Card

Placed on top of the napkins are Doljabi Cards for the guests. You may ask...

What is "Doljabi"?

Doljabi (ėŒģž”ģ“) - a Korean tradition done during a child's first birthday, wherein some items like the string, books, brushes, ink and money are placed in front of the child. It is believed that whatever item the child picks up will foretell his or her future.

The guests were asked to guess which item the little boy will pick. There are small icons at the bottom of the card like hardhat (Engineer), guitar (Musician), basketball (Athlete), airplane (Pilot), stethoscope (Doctor) and Money (Businessman... a very rich person! =D). I chose the guitar. I have a strong feeling he would pick that. Plus, his dad sings well and is a talented musician aside from being an English teacher + Engineer. ^__^

Eugene Quiz

Another fun activity is the Eugene Quiz. It is a quiz about how much you know about the little baby - from his birth to present! I immediately took the piece of paper and answered away! I tried hard to think about the things that I know. You know, I am always online so I am updated with them. I could see Oppa's posts and comment on their photos, so, I felt like I have a high chance of getting a high score! Gyah! I don't know why I always get excited and hyped up when there are contest and giveaways. Hahaha! You know how lucky I've been recently, right? =D

Message for the cutie Agi (baby)!

Sam-Imo's card

They have a cute display of their family photos. OMO~! Such a beautiful family!!! ^__^

Cake table with Tteok (rice cake), fruits and... Pororo Cake! ^__^

Isn't he so adorable? ^__^

After taking photos of birthday stuff, Sam decided to go out with me and explore the outside of the function hall. We also had a nice chat. Girl talk mode on! =)

OOTD: Mon Petit Boudoir Zebra corset top, black jacket, skinny jeans and SM Parisian heels

The view outside is nice... there's a pool but it's raining, so we decided to view it from the inside. =)

Sam had a great idea of taking a photo of the beautiful mirror... Of course, with us in it! =D

Aigoo! The mirror is lovely (as well as the ones in front -kidding! >__<) but... it's kinda dirty! Haha!

Trying to take a nice selca... =D
One more time!

When we returned, our other co-workers arrived already. ^__^

Looks like we missed each other a lot! Hmmm... I noticed something here: Admin! Haha!

HR Manager, Former Vice President (Senior of Eonni) and Hubby, the Trainer and Group Leader (The scary Trainer and Group Leader! Hahaha!!! Peace Hubby dear!)

I said that because he was strict and particular when it comes to his job. Besides, when I moved to this company, he didn't give me special treatment. He treated me like the other applicants and employees. I admire him and I am very proud of him because of that. ~♥

Hubby, if you're reading this, don't grow your head too big, okay? Hahaha!

Happy people reliving good old days!

The bosses with Sam

HR Manager, Former Vice President, Q.A/Team Captain, Hubby and Sam

Smile! =)

The lovely lady in black is the mommy of the celebrator. She's my Eonni. ♥

My Eonni loves me a lot! Haha! ♥^__^♥

The program begins...

Oppa thanking the guests for coming. He said that it's like a double celebration for them, as it's the first time they've gathered their family and friends in a special occasion.

Oppa and Eonni got married in Korea, so, not every one was able to attend their beautiful wedding.

Eonni's turn! =)

Happy birthday, dear Eugene! ^__^

I really like the Pororo cake! ^__^

They're so beautiful! A picture perfect family. =) ♥

Unfortunately, hubby and I had to skedaddle right after dinner. He had to be at church by 8:30pm for the devotion, in preparation for the Thanksgiving. Sam updated me about what transpired during the party... and my guess that Eugene baby will pick up the guitar was right! ^__^

I missed these people a lot. In fact, I loved working with them. Although my hated part was, working with hubby (Yes, I do. But I did anyway! Hahaha! I could tell you how I amused his co-workers when they interviewed me.), I could say this was the best working place ever, love everything from the job up to the pay! But all things must come to an end. What's good is that we were able to keep a good friendship with one another. Just like what Sam said in her post in Facebook, there will never be another company like this. I agree. =)

We had a photobooth shot before leaving... =)

Notice anything? Hehehe... Sam said, I was consistent, being always at the center and in the picture! Wahaha!

Then, as I was writing this, I suddenly remembered the Funny Photo Game from the first episode of Running Man (A Korean Show).

Check it out below!

Cracked me up! XD

Sorry for the lack of updates, I am currently adjusting to my new sched... I am fully loaded these days so I will work out on how to squeeze in blogging into my schedule. Please be patient with me, okay?

To new followers, thank you and welcome to my little heaven! Make it your little heaven, too, okay? =)

How are you lately? Update me!

^__^

Stay safe and warm, every one! I love you! ^__^
