FOTD 121812: An Afternoon Tryst

Annyeonghaseyo!!! ^__^

It's a cold Monday morning but it's nearly half way through 2013! It's also the first day of class for most students, so for sure, traffic will be congested around Manila and around the country! =D

I've been waiting for my school appointment until this last minute but it's okay. I'll just wait for the Division Office to call me. =)

Talk about school, I've got a make up tip for students. Always remember to keep your makeup simple. Just go with BB Cream or powder, a hint of blush and a swipe of lipstick or gloss. You would want to make a good impression and not scare away prospect friends. Besides, the teacher won't like it if you look like a person from the 80's sitting in the middle of a classroom of the 2000's. The key is to keep things light. ^__~

Make Up Tutorial: Power Presentation Makeup Look

Happy Thursday loves!

I'm back with a tutorial! Weee! Finally! Haha!

Yesterday, I had a holiday (with the exception of three especially requested classes) so I had a lot of time to spare. However, since hubby also shares the same holiday with me, he kept me from tinkering with my computer. TT__TT

I was supposed to post this yesterday but I only got to finish editing it yesterday and uploaded it this morning. Sorry for letting you wait long.

Let's cut to the chase, shall we? Today, I shall be sharing with you a way on how to look good on a presentation. This is great for both college girls and as well as office workers that need to present in front of a crowd.

It is not enough that you are well-equipped with your reports and presentations. You should also look fresh as a daisy. It helps boost your confidence and therefore gives you an extra point for looking fab despite being under pressure. =D

Classy? ^__~

Wanna learn how I achieved it? Here's a quick tutorial on how I got the look!

PRODUCTS USED:

FACE:
Purederm Magic BB Cream
Nichido Foundation Stick in Beige
Avon Simply Pretty Shine No More Dual Foundation Powder in Almond
e.l.f Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder
e.l.f Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder

EYES:
Natasha Beauty Eye Brow Pencil in Caramel Brown
e.l.f Primer and Sealer
The Body Shop Eye Color Matte in Shade #12
Wet N' Wild Mega Eyes Cream Eye Liner
Wet N' Wild Megaplump Mascara

LIPS:
Cover Girl Natureluxe Gloss Balm in Hibiscus
Avon Simply Pretty Colorbliss Lipstick in Red Roses
Tears Vita Gloss in RD 302

Some people get intimidated by the power of the red lipstick all because they feel that it overpowers the overall look of a person. The trick is to keep everything simple. Also, it is best to wear red lipstick when paired with clear and smooth skin. Got some acne marks? Don't fret! You may use a medium to heavy coverage foundation and some concealer to cover up your flaws! If there's a will, there's a way, you know! ^__~

Follow these beauty equations:

O, ha! Effort!!! =D

I hope these helped! Please try it and show me your recreated look! ^__^

...and good luck with the presentation! ^__~

Do you like wearing red lipsticks? When do you wear them?

Back-to-School Series: Lesson 2: Everyday Makeup

Good day! Teacher Angel is back with another lesson. =)

For most of you, it has already been the 2nd or third week of school. I do hope you are all having a great time. ^__^

I guess, a lot of you schoolgirls are all clueless on how to look like at school. I mean, how to look appropriate at school. Just like in my previous Back-to-School post, other girls that I've seen way back in my practice teaching days were wearing makeup that isn't suitable for teens like them. I feel so sad for them, as they made themselves look older than they should.

So, here I am, sharing with you an easy and quick way of keeping yourselves pretty without going overboard.

When I was in high school, all I used was powder and lipgloss. Nowadays, with all the wide range of makeup out there, every thing is possible to get that natural and fresh look. =)

Me, in high school... =D

Our lesson for today is "Everyday Makeup" (a.k.a: School Appropriate Makeup)

Watch the video below on how to look fresh like the pretty girls in K-dramas...

Listed below are the products used in the video:

FACE
Purederm Magic BB Cream
Avon Simply Pretty Shine No More Dual Foundation Powder in Almond
Fashion21 Duo Blush On

EYES
Fanny Serrano Soft Eye Pencil in Dark Brown
Wet n' Wild Waterproof Mega Plump Mascara in Black

LIPS
Maybelline Baby Lips in Smoothing Cherry
Tears Sweet Vita Gloss in OR202

You may use any makeup of your preference. I only used the affordable ones that I own in my stash. ^__~

Result?

Tips:
  • Choose "long-wearing" makeup, so you won't worry about your makeup sliding off.
  • Less is more. That's why we used only a few items to achieve this look. ^__~
  • Touch up when necessary but avoid checking your makeup in the classroom. =D

Always remember to keep it simple. ^__~

What is (or was) your beauty routine in school?

Yesterday's Face of the "Morning"

Wondering why the title is like that? All of us know about the terms "face of the day" and "face of the night" and what they mean. But for me, what I always have every Thursday morning (and Sunday morning) is what I must call FOTM, as in "face of the morning" - usually because I only wear it in the morning and take it off before my classes when I take a shower. Of course, it doesn't always stay as FOTM, because there are days that I take a bath as early as 4:30am and wear the makeup that I put on all day long, until my classes are over. =D

For today, I decided to use a few products plus mascara, inspired by the new tutorial that I am working on... I always want to keep it fresh and light every time I go to church in the morning. I sometimes don't even wear makeup to church! =D

 FOTM: light and fresh! =)
HOTD: High bun

Eye makeup: Just eye liner and mascara
Gosh... I missed wearing mascara! It's seldom that I put on mascara these days... I better use them frequently now!!! =D

PRODUCTS USED:

SKINCARE
Baviphat Peach All-in-One Waterfull Cream (Yes, waterful"L". Double L. =D)

FACE
Purederm Magic BB Cream
Avon Simply Pretty Shine No More Dual Foundation Powder in Almond
Fashion21 Duo Blush On

EYES
Fanny Serrano Soft Eye Pencil in Dark Brown
Wet n' Wild Waterproof Mega Plump Mascara in Black

LIPS
Maybelline Baby Lips in Smoothing Cherry
Tears Sweet Vita Gloss in OR202

Looks like I am now mastering the art of no makeup look. On the other hand, I miss playing around with my eyeshadows... plus, I need a colorful palette to play with... I hope someone could sponsor me and send me some makeup for me! Calling for sponsors! Teehee!!! =D

Oh well! I hope to play around with my eye shadows one of these days... Anyway, I am making a series of tutorials for students for different occasions. ^___^

FOTD: SKP 2012 Class Pictorial

Today Last Tuesday, I woke up early to get to be able to prepare and be early for the SKP class. Unfortunately, I was left alone with my 1 year old sister-in-law and nephew. The house helper didn't arrive early. Dad-in-law gave Mom-in-law a ride to the office. Sister-in-law hasn't returned from the office yet (she's working graveyard shift). I had no choice but be left alone with two kiddos and wait for our house helper, my Dad-in-law and Sister-in-Law to return. So much for getting up early to prepare! Haha! -__-

I got a message from one of my co-teachers that we'll be having a class picture taken today. I had to rush in looking for a decent pair of clothes and iron them out. I actually planned to wear my pink ruffled "Miss Minchin" top but I already wore it during the class pic last year. Co-Teacher said, "Wear something pastel-colored". OMG. I don't have any pastels in my wardrobe! I have more jewel-toned clothes and I don't think they would look decent for a class pictorial. So, I decided to go safe with a white top and a pair of cream slacks. =D

It took me 15 minutes to get my makeup done.
My co-teacher complimented the color combination on my eyes... She was stunned! =)

After school... My hair is in a mess, pardon that! =D

15 minutes? Yes!

SKINCARE
Toner Nivea Visage Q10 Anti Wrinkle Day Cream with SPF 15
Nivea Visage DNAge Firming Eye Cream

FACE
Hanskin Mineral Magic BB Cream SPF 30 PA++
MAC Strobe Cream
Revlon Age Defying Spa Foundation with SPF18 in 003 Light
Fanny Serrano Concealer in Cashew
Avon Simply Pretty Shine No More Dual Foundation Powder in Almond
e.l.f Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder

EYES
Natasha Beauty Eye Brow Pencil in Caramel Brown
e.l.f Eye Primer and Liner Sealer
e.l.f Natural Eyeshadow Palette
Fanny Serrano Soft Eye Pencil in Dark Brown

LIPS
Maybelline Baby Lips in Smoothing Cherry
Cover Girl It’s Your Mauve (030)
Bath and Body Works Liplicious Lip Gloss in Fruit Punch

You might be wondering why there was no mascara used in this look. Well, that is because I didn't really plan to wear this makeup the whole day. It would be a tough job to remove mascara residue so I skipped it. =D (Yeah, yeah! Lazy me! Haha!)

Here's a photo tagged to me in FB by my co-teacher... Notice anything?

Waah! My face is as round as a full moon!!! >__<

The weekend is just around the corner! Are you excited? ^__^

Get Ready with Me!

I am a lot busier these days but I would do my best to cope up with my blogging... ^__^

Just like what I promised you on my FB page, here's my Get Ready with Me video...

I get to put makeup more often now since I have to go out and meet cute little kids and of course their parents/guardians... I want to look presentable to everyone and make a nice impression. Hihihi... I wouldn't want to scare the kids with my ghostly bare-faced look or surprise them with my K-pop-ish heavy liner so I'm keeping it natural. I'll save the "bongga" (best) look on the graduation day! =D

Products used:

SKINCARE

House of Obagi Condition and Enhance Toner
Nivea Visage Q10 Anti Wrinkle Day Cream with SPF 15
Nivea Visage DNAge Firming Eye Cream
Nivea Sun Immediate Protection Face Cream with SPF 50 (I incorporated this into my routine since I’ll be going out of the house! Yay! ^__^)

FACE

Purederm Magic BB Cream SPF 30 PA++
Nichido Final Powder in So Natural
e.l.f Studio Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder

BROWS
Brown Lancome Shadow (from an old palette)

LIPS
Maybelline Baby Lips in Smoothing Cherry
Cover Girl It’s Your Mauve (030)

So there it goes! That will probably be my daily routine for a month! ^__^

Please stay tuned for more updates! =)
