FOTD 100712:Bright Smokey (Using the Estee Lauder Technique)

It was a Sunday when I wore this look. I am pressed for time, so I decided to give this look a try.

This is the Estee Lauder's technique on creating the smokey eye. I learned it from Ms. Mikki of breakmyspell.blogspot.com. Check out her own tutorial here! ^__^

It's so easy! It took me only a few minutes to complete this look. For the eyes, all I did was mix my Wet N' Wild Liquiline Blast in Blue Boom with a tiny dot of BB Cream. It was supposed to be liquid concealer, then I realized I didn't have one!!! My concealers are both in stick form. -__-

Oh well! Time to be resourceful! There's no time to waste! =D

How?

1. With an eyeliner, draw a tiny circle on the back of your hand.

2. Drop a tiny amount of liquid concealer on the eyeliner.

3. Mix evenly with your ring finger.

4. Apply on lids. You can top it with an eyeshadow similar to the shade of the mixture to set it. 

And that's it! ^__^

I haven't tried this with a black liner because I love playing around with my colorful shadows these days. Black smokey eyes are sexy... Hmmm.. If that will make me feel sexy, I'll wear that look! Bwahahaha!

FOTD 082812: Rainbow Goddess (An Experiment)

OMO~! This is a very old FOTD! Actually, it was only an experiment. This was the first time I had the courage to dip my brushes in my Le Faerie Super Palette. If not because of the Make Up Hub by Naturele Collezione's Anniversary Giveaway, it'll take me a longer time to use the super beautiful palette. It was a challenge! =D

"Over the clear blue sky and sparkling heavens,

This was the description on my entry:

My makeup look is called the "Rainbow Goddess". It is inspired by the heavens. The blue part represents the day sky, while the black shaded sides with gold specks represents the night sky with twinkling stars. There's a peek of rainbow liner on the upper liner lash line and on the brow bone, gold is used as highlight, representing the sun.

I was able to wear it in three ways, by changing the lip color into nude (Rainbow Goddess in her simple and innocent phase), pink (Rainbow Goddess in her fun and playful phase) and red (Rainbow Goddess in her daring and sexy phase).

I was inspired by the fantastic colors of nature. I was also awed with my then new palette. Once I started packing up the colors, I was stuck more with awe. It was super pigmented! ^__^

FOTD 092112: Oppan Gangnam Style!

You've probably heard of the song Gangnam Style.

Don't tell me you've never heard of it! In the Philippines, it is played in every corner since it was featured in various TV shows and news stations. =D


Living under a rock? Here is the viral video!

I've been so crazy about it even before it became viral. I've been Psy Oppa's fan when I watched his "Right Now" MV (Click on the link if you're curious about it). In my opinion, his leading ladies in his MV's, Seo Woo (Right Now) and  HyunA (Gangnam Style) have pretty faces. 

HyunA's makeup in the video is easy to recreate. It's also wearable! ^__^

 HyunA's brows in the video is too light. I decided to keep mine this way. I just defined it a bit...

My Take on Bridal Makeup (Version 2: Pinks)

This is the second look for my supposed-to-be-contest-entry for Ms. Jheng's contest last July. I have used the same Nichido eyeshadow palette that I used for the first look (Click on the link to see the first look). =)

 Pinks and browns... Our wedding motif! ^__^

For the lips, I used Cover Girl It’s Your Mauve topped with a pink lip gloss that I can't recall. =D

Yup! I only did half of my huge fez (face) again! =D

How I wish I have a really good camera. The colors looked so pretty in real life! Our helper even asked me if I was about to go somewhere special because of my makeup. =D

In my opinion, pinks, browns and cream shades are perfect for bridal makeup. They help a lot in improving one's features without altering the overall look. Golds also do wonders in brightening a bride's face. =)

Now I wonder about which look I could have worn on my big day last year if we didn't have an HMUA. o__O

My Take on Bridal Make Up (Version 1: Browns)

Last July, Ms. Jheng of IamBrigitte, hosted a contest in celebration of her birthday. I was supposed to join, but I had a crappy camera. Using a cellphone camera sucks and I really have to invest in a camera soon. 

Jagi... Do you heed my plead? =D

I decided to practice and practice. I told myself that I'd be borrowing my sis-in-law's digicam. Unfortunately for me, she always carried it with her because she needed it at work that time. =(

This is the first of the two versions of my bridal makeup. I played around with my Nichido Eyeshadow palette which I originally bought for my own wedding. I was supposed to do my own makeup on my big day hence the haul I did here. Good thing I was spared the stress and pressure of doing my own makeup when our wedding coordinator told us that we'll be having an HMUA as part of the package. =D

Those were my natural lashes with mascara only. Although I had falsies (the pair I used from my wedding), I didn't have glue. I had to load up on mascara to volumize my lashes. =)

  

I used a brown and cream combo for this look. =)

 

Nude lips added that surreal and innocent touch.

I only did half of my face. =D

 Lookie! My wedding tiara!!! ^__^

If you look closely, my other eye is bigger and brighter than the one without makeup. Ah! The wonders of cosmetics! =D

I loved how the look turned out. Sadly, my smartphone's camera couldn't capture the colors that I used. Anyhoo, its nice that the look turned out to be Au Naturel, perfect for an actual wedding! ^__^

I can't remember the exact products that I used for this look. I could only remember that I used the Nichido eyeshadow palette and the Bobbi Brown Lipstick in Brownie.
